My issue with the news is that all the good stuff usually happens before I can be the first to share it, but that’s okay, here’s some of what you may have missed.
Two fantastic actors have been announced for Star Wars Episode 7 (VII); Oscar winning Lupita Nyong’o (12 Years a Slave) as well as Game of Thrones fan favourite Gwendoline Christie (the most excellent Brienne of Tarth), that’s fairly promising, having two accomplished actresses should point towards some solid female characters in the new film.
Did you think it was weird how Rogue is in the last scene of Days of Future Past, but showed up in like, no other part of the film, well we’ve finally got an explanation. It was a cut scene that sort of ruined the pacing and urgency, but we’ll be able to see it on the Bluray release.
Oliver Stone (Wall Street: Money Never Sleeps) announced he will be working on a thriller style film centred around the Edward Snowden events of last year, films on big, recent life events go from the successful to the, well not so, so it’ll be interesting to see what this brings to the table.
Remember a few weeks ago I featured a Constantine 5 minute trailer? Did it wet your appetite? Well the show now has a premier date; October 24th on NBC.
I realise I say this every Tuesday, but how about those Throney Games huh? If you’re still in a spin from the last episode, check out this review of the episode The Mountain and the Viper. And here’s one writer’s account of what the thing in this episode means. Oh, and Spoilers, Duh doi.
I featured it on our Facebook page yesterday, but John Oliver is rallying the trolls of the internet to make a dent in the move to remove Net Neutrality, it’s both funny and important.
Well add this to the list of reasons why people shouldn’t play videogames I guess. A girl has been stabbed 19 times in a, er, sacrifice to Slenderman. She survived, but the two girls who did it are being charged. OBVIOUSLY.
Neil Druckmann and Bruce Straley who oversaw the very well received ‘The Last of Us’, now lead the reins on the next Uncharted game, which is promising.
In today’s most unsurprising news, Mario Kart 8 for the WiiU has become the fastest selling WiiU game.
