Coffee Time News 13/06/14

Good morning everyone, Joe here for your daily round up of news, today, since E3 is done with, I’ll be bringing the gaming news too, that and James’ finally had to go back to work.

Film

Jurassic World is released a year yesterday, and so we were treated to some new images, including Chris Pratt on a very nice looking motorcycle.

There’s a new Trailer for Denzel Washington’s The Equalizer, which gives a bit more of the film’s plot and a little look behind the character.

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes has a new TV spot too, ready for its launch this time next month.

Television

True Detective may try to prevent outstaying its welcome and cut the series off after the 3rd, to prevent it getting old and stale. A good idea really, and something a lot of shows could learn from.

Ben Mackenzie (Gotham’s Jim Gordon) talks his role and being the only honest cop in a city of thieves. Gotham is due to hit our screens in the fall.

Hard hitting, pivotal scenes can be hard to write, and should be, in this article from the Hollywood reporter, a handful of writers (including Game of Thrones and Downton Abbey) talk about the scenes they had most trouble writing.

Games

The big man behind Zelda (Eiji Aonuma) talks very briefly about the fans’ call for a remake of a particular mask related game (I’ve been banned from saying the title as apparently it’s my trigger).

In other well loved franchise news, Nintendo have acknowledged Metroid in both a 2D and a 3D capacity.

From more games to no more, the voice of Nathan Drake (and almost everyone other protagonist in the early 2010’s) has said that Uncharted 4 will probably be the last one Naughty dog make.
