New Age of Ultron TV Spot, Alien 5’s place on the timeline and Fable Legends will be Free to Play.

The much talked about Alien 5 from Neil Blomkamp has its place on the continuity scale. According to an interview with the director, as a huge fan of Alien and Aliens, (quite rightly too) he’s always wanted to carry on that arc, so the next Alien film will take place after the events of James Cameron’s Aliens. Here’s hoping it won’t be called Alien 5, because that will cause all manner of confusion. But what does that mean for the continuity of the second Alien films? Alien 3 and Alien Resurrection? Blomkamp has said that he isn’t undoing those films, so it’ll be interesting to see how he pulls that off.

Marvel continues to keep its cards close to its chest in the next TVspot for Avengers: Age of UltronThe studio has really gone the distance in keeping the same footage cropping up, and only showing a little bit more than we’ve seen before. While, in the lead up this could get frustrating to some (‘They’re just showing us the same stuff!’) it should mean that we’ll get more of a treat, and more unknown content on release, which I’m all for in any film.

Prisoners and Enemy director Denis Villeneuve has been recruited to direct the sequel to Ridley Scott’s Bladerunner. Like the original, the sequel (which Scott won’t be director due to an overcrowded schedule) will star Harrison Ford as Rick Deckard, according to Ford, the script is the best thing he’s ever read. So you know, there’s hope

A superpowered television report today; Supergirl has cast 2 more characters into its pool, Grey’s Anatomy Chyler Keigh will star as Supergirl’s foster sister, this should add a bit more of a family oriented storyline to the show, much like the Flash and Arrow have done recently. The second casting is Homeland’s Davide Harewood as Hank Henshaw, who eventually grows to be the character of Cyborg Superman, in the show he seems to be the head of the superhuman watchdog organisation.

Another new DC superhero show is on the horizon, this one will be a spinoff that will feature, among others, Firestorm and ATOM (as seen in The Flash and Arrow) as well as Arrow’s Caity Lotz (Sara Lance) and Wentworth Miller, who played Captain Cold in the Flash. little more is known, whether it will be a group culmination or separate stories told in one show (sort of like a super-anthology) we’ll find out in the coming months.

Finally, Daredevil has found its place in the Marvel Timeline. Taking place after the devastation of New York in the Avengers, the show will deal with how the little area of the city known as Hell’s Kitchen copes with the events of the first superhero team up.

Lionhead’s asymmetrical multiplayer Fable Legends that will see four player controlled heroes take on a fifth, player controlled villain that will control landscape and enemy placement (like if the monster from Evolve was an evil tactician) will not only be cross platform between Windows 10 and Xbox One, but will be free to play as well! A smart move, since the creators will need as many people playing as possible to get the best out of their game.

The abominable snowman (no, not the friendly Snow-cone toting one from Monster’s Inc) will feature in the next piece of DLC for Far Cry 4 ‘The Valley of the Yetis’. Check out a trailer here.

Destiny‘s companion app (available for Ios, Android and the web) just got a lot more useful. Now you’ll be able to move things from your vault to your inventory on the fly, even mid mission. That, that’s pretty neat.
