Independence Day 2’s synopsis revealed, Constantine officially dead and I am Bread coming to PS4.


C-3PO has a new look for the upcoming Star Wars The Force Awakens. And by that, I mean he’s got a red arm; perhaps in the time since we last saw him he had his arm cut off just like everyone else in that franchise? Or he dipped his hand in some red paint.

The first teaser poster for the Assassins’ Creed movie starring Michael Fassbender has appeared, it’s got an eagle on it. So we’re still going with that motif I guess. Good, keep to the roots of the series.

Independence Day 2 has its synopsis! After Independence Day redefined the event movie genre, the next epic chapter delivers global catastrophe on an unimaginable scale. Using recovered alien technology, the nations of Earth have collaborated on an immense defense program to protect the planet. But nothing can prepare us for the aliens’ advanced and unprecedented force. Only the ingenuity of a few brave men and women can bring our world back from the brink of extinction. 

So, Alien technology makes humanity a little too loud in the universe, aliens come and try to teach us all a lesson.


True Detective Season 2 has a new pair of 30 second trailers, fans of the first season won’t want to miss them, they show off some of the cast, some of the chaos, some of the… detectives?

Daniel Cerone, the showrunner behind Constantine has out and confirmed that the show is officially over, with the team being released from their contracts. This will be disappointing to those who enjoyed the series, but for those who have been following the show, it’s not much of a surprise.


Dark Souls 3 is not only happening, but has had a load of information leaked this weekend, the guys over at Funhaus have all the pretty pictures and the info for you.

I am Bread, the bread simulation game from the creator of Surgeon Simulater, is coming to the PS4, complete with new trophies and game modes, including bagel races.

There’s an exploit in the Witcher 3 that allows you to rack up hundreds of monies in a few moments by slaughtering cows, meditating, then back to the slaughter, well no longer, as the game devs have patched it in the best way possible, it’s called the Bovine defence force, and it’s brilliant.

The first photos of the new young Xmen, a twitter campaign to save Constantine and Five nights at Freddy’s 4 announced.


The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles sequel has found its new Shredder in Inception/The Wolverine‘s Brian Tee. The fate of the Turtles’ big bad seemed all but sealed in the reboot, but then this is a comic movie, there was special ooze, and franchises need to be made.

Star of It Follows Maika Monroe has been cast for Independence Day 2 as it starts filming for its summer 2016 release.

Those sneaky on set photographers; bringing us almost clear behind the scenes photos of big films since… whenever it was. Anyway, said photographers have managed to snap some images of the new roster for Xmen Apocalypse which features Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) Cyclops (Tye Sheridan) and Jubilee (Lana Condor).

Orange is the New Black is coming back to Netflix this June, and before its release there’s a new banner image for the show, you know, promotion and the like.

The plotline for The Flash is heating up, and soon we should get more exposure to that super intelligent Gorilla that we’ve seen teased every so often. And by should, I mean we definitely will because these images of a showdown between the Scarlet Speedster and a giant gorilla have appeared.


It was short lived, but the paid mods feature for Skyrim between Valve and Bethesda has been pulled; with all users who bought a mod getting a complete refund. The statements from both companies state that they realise now that it was a feature that they underestimated, and issue their apologies.

It barely seems like a year ago that the first Five Nights at Freddy’s took the internet by storm… what? What do you mean it was less than a year ago? Well hell. Anyway, the fourth (and final) instalment into the jump scared filled series is coming this Halloween. 

Console Minecraft players, rejoice, starting at some point this week you will be able to play as Alex, a female equivalent to the default Steve skin. When asked about the inclusion Mojang stated that it was to better represent their diverse player base. You go Mojang.

Simon Pegg to Co-write Star Trek 3, the Howling Commandos return to Agent Carter and Borderlands the Pre-Sequel gets a new Playable character.


Star Trek star Simon Pegg, who plays Scottish Engineer Scotty, (Also from Shaun of the Dead, Hot Fuzz,) has been brought on as a co-writer for the third film in the franchise alongside Doug Jung.

James Gunn, director of the summer’s huge hit, Guardians of the Galaxy, has spoken about the sequel to the space adventure. When asked about Lee Pace’s Ronan’s return he denied the villain being in the sequel, though he could make a return eventually (You know how comics can be with death) and when speaking of Nebula, Thanos’ daughter, he said she ‘will be back’.

There’s a new clip for Kingsman: Secret Service available, featuring Colin Firth and relative newcomer Taron Egerton. Check back later today for our review of the film, which is released in cinemas on the 29th of this month.


Here’s a few promo images for Gotham’s episode ‘the Fearsome Dr. Crane’ which will feature a villain who targets victims with severe phobias. Whether this will be the Dr. Crane who eventually becomes Batman’s foe the Scarecrow, or his father…. Well, you’ll need to tune in.

The Howling Commandos, Captain America’s Wartime buddies, will be making an appearance in Agent Carter, after she’s given a mission, she decides to recruit the commandos onto her team. It’s also worth noting that the late Agent Trip from Agents of SHIELD’s grandfather was a commando, and so it’s most likely him we see in some of these images.

It’s been a wild ride for Constantine, the NBC show based off of the DC comic series, it’s been denied a second season, and even got cut off from a full 22 episode season after lack lustre ratings, but after a 12 percent increase in viewing figures, we could be seeing a full series after all.


Borderlands the Pre-sequel is getting a new set of DLC, the first instalment was a Colosseum type mission set that the series loves so much, but this next DLC is a new character, the sister of Sir Hammerlock, the hunter, and she’s got some wicked cool abilities. 

Dying Light’s release schedule is a little confusing, what with digital releases being fine, but physical copies being delayed… so Polygon has surmised it all for you. And as a treat, the ‘play as a zombie’ feature, which acts like the game invasion feature of Watch_dogs, will be free for everyone.

Bungie seem to be listening to the community when it comes to the flaws of Destiny, which no one can slate them on. In an unannounced comment thread on the NeoGAF forum, designer Luke Smith has set some things straight and given us some hope, not only for the next DLC, the House of Wolves, but for Destiny 2.

American Sniper claims the Box Office top spot, Time Travelling Flash and Master Chief Collection Matchmaking gets another update.


The first cast photo for Now You See Me 2; Second Act has appeared, and as well as showing off some new faces (Including Daniel Radcliffe) it also shows off Jessie Eisenberg’s shorter cropped hair. Now this could confirm that we will be seeing a bald Lex Luthor in Batman Vs Superman Dawn of Justice.

Oscar Nominated American Sniper starring Bradley Cooper has broken a bunch of box office records by raking in over $90 dollars in its first weekend. That’s a lot of money.

Add this to the ‘Spiderman’s in trouble’ pile but Felicity Jones, who you may remember played a small part in the Amazing Spiderman 2 as Felicia Hardy (the Black Cat), has recently come out and said that there are ‘no plans’ for her to reprise the role of the character. Which is a shame considering that with the loss of Emma Stone, that series will need someone like Jones to shift it away from being a bit of a boys’ club,


Well this never bodes well, NBC have expressed their doubts that Constantine will be coming back for a second season after the full 22 episode run was denied late last year.

Fox are ‘hopeful’ about the return of the X-Files after actor Gillian Anderson rallied the show’s fans to show their support for a new season.

Everyone knew that The Flash would eventually be introducing the idea of time travel in the first season of the series (mostly because the show’s creators told us) well looks like we’ve got a date for our first time travel, the fifteenth episode of the show will see an accidental trip that’s played for both ‘hilarity and darkness.’


The next update for the Halo Master Chief Collection will see more tweaks to the flawed matchmaking system as well as a heap of other updates for both the multiplayer and the single player games.

A few weeks ago we mentioned that Microsoft have changed their terms of use policy regarding monetising and gameplay videos on youtube and the like with their games. Well today they clarified it once again, and it’s good news. Titles like ‘let’s play Halo 5’ and ‘tips and tricks for Forza Horizon’ will be allowed. Read more about it here.

Inside Llewyn Davis star Oscar Isaac, who will be starring in The Force Awakens has landed the role of Apocalypse in Xmen Apocalypse. For those who don’t know, Apocalypse is considered to be the first mutant, and definitely one of the most powerful.

Michelle Maclaren, producer of Breaking Bad, has won the mantle of directing  the Wonder Woman solo movie.

We reported a while ago that Christoph Waltz could be the main villain in Bond 24, but rumour has it that he won’t just be a villain, but THE villain, as the iconic Blofeld.


Rachel McAdams (Sherlock Holmes) and Taylor Kitsch (Gambit from Xmen Origins) have both been confirmed for True Detective season 2.

The cast of Arrow and The Flash have a few things to say about the upcoming crossover episode, and a little bit of explanation about why the two heroes are fighting. Mild spoilers ahead.

Constantine’s production has been put on hold after the first run of 13 episodes, but that’s not to say a second season won’t happen, I mean, Community is still going.


Today we’ve got three videos for you, first up is the announcement that Dark Souls 2 will be coming to this generation of consoles, and there’s a trailer for you, like most good remakes it will include all the released DLC and some new features and will be released in April of next year.

The second video is a gameplay trailer for Batman Arkham Knight, which shows off the seamless switching from Batmobile to Batman, as well as a bit more of Scarecrow’s story and schemes.

Ridley Scott’s definitive cut of Bladerunner will be coming to theatres in 2015, and we might get to see more of the world if the sequel he’s been working on sees the light of day.

Writers/directors Chris Miller and Phil Lord have announced that there will be more female main characters in The Lego Movie 2, as well as more female ‘stuff’ now this could be a reference to the original’s ending.

Star Lord’s parentage in Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will serve the plot and not just the twist, according to James Gunn he’s not aiming for a huge revelation for the character.


Marvel’s Agents of SHIELD is finally coming to video streaming service Netflix, it’s a surprise it’s taken so long considering Marvel’s plan for Daredevil and the Defenders series.

Lucy Griffiths’ Liv character from the Constantine pilot was quickly written out, but there is a chance she could return in another capacity now that the writers have acknowledged their mistake.

Chris Pratt is keen to return to television, especially if it’s a chance to relive Star Lord in Agents of SHIELD.


Sweden want to label games that promote gender equality, the Swedish trade body has been given a grant by the government to research ways to do so.

Lego Movie Directors Phil Lord and Chris Miller won’t only be directing the sequel to the incredible successful Lego Movie, but are now on task to write the next in the series.

The 7th Fast and Furious instalment will be named Furious 7, and will have a new trailer out next week.

Guardians of the Galaxy just keeps on giving; it’s now passed Xmen Days of Future Past to become the highest grossing comic book movie of the year, and the third highest grossing movie of 2014.


Constantine premièred on Friday night, against the World Series, but despite that it managed to hold its own, a promising start to yet another DC television series.

Speaking of DC comic shows, Gotham is still going well, and here’s a little featurette focussing on the relationship between Selina Kyle, Bruce Wayne and Jim Gordon.

Finally, for those who think that because ‘Hydra’ leaked the Avengers 2 trailer a week early Marvel don’t have anything planned for their show Agents of SHIELD next week, think again, and tune in. New Footage Ahead.


The second travel journal from Far Cry 4’s marketing campaign is out, and it focusses on fighting pits and avalanches. 

Scrolls, the Mojang game that isn’t Minecraft, should be out by the end of November, apparently. It’s an interesting combination of strategy, card collection and turn based battles.
