New trailer for Doctor Who season 9 as well as a clip from the Sherlock Christmas Special, and Black Ops gets a 1940’s era Zombies mode. With Jeff Goldblum.

Film

So far the Harry Potter spin off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find them, has a director and a few main characters, well now the  cast is being fleshed out a little bit. Singer songwriter Alison Sudol has been cast as Queenie, the sister to Newt’s potential love interest.

Take a look at the NEW look of Katniss all ready for the revolution and that in this new motion poster for the Mockingjay Part 2.

On Wednesday we showed you the new look Ecto 1 from the reboot of the Ghostbusters, well now we’ve got another little treat, straight out of comic-con; Ecto 2. It’s a bike. 

Television

Twin Peaks, oh Twin Peaks. At first you were back, then you weren’t, then you were back for a longer series than we’d thought, now you’ve been delayed until 2017.

Doctor Who Season 9 gets a trailer for its return on the 19th of September, which you can check out here. It’s got all the good stuff, running, screwdrivers, quarries.

Speaking of Trailers for British institutions, check out the first look at Victorian England in the standalone Christmas special of Sherlock, it’s full of references to the original stories, and the issues some of the characters have with them.

Games

GTA V has another free expansion for you, Ill Gotten Gains part 2 will introduce a new radio station, as well as the regular new vehicles, weapons and missions for you.

Gears of War Ultimate edition is to be bundled with every new Xbox One until the end of the year once the game releases on August 25th, while stocks last.

Call of Duty’s Zombies mode will be making a return in Black ops 3, and this time it will be set in the 1940’s. If that isn’t enough to entice you (and why wouldn’t it be, 1940’s ZOMBIES) check out the voice talent this time around, Jeff Goldblum, Heather Graham, Ron Perlman and Robert Picardo. The hunt for a Spiderman could be nearing an end, Legends of Tomorrow gets a neat new trailer, as does Lego Jurassic Park, where you can play as dinosaurs!

Film

The third film in the rebooted (and well received) franchise Planet of the Apes, which started in 2011 with Rise(otPotA) and went on to Dawn(otPotA) in 2014 could be called War of the Planet of the Apes. BASICALLY, it looks like shit is going down in the third instalment, because… war.

As we all know, rumours are sometimes baloney and sometimes they’re right on the money, well for some time now Asa Butterfield (Enders Game) has been in talks for the role of Spiderman in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and now it looks like a deal is about to be struck. What this means is that we’re likely to see a much younger Spiderman than we’ve seen before, with the character reportedly being only 15/16 years old when we meet him in Captain America Civil War.

Speaking of Civil War, we’ve got some behind the scenes photos from the filming that started this week; some scenes of a slum village (possibly connected to the Hulk out in Age of Ultron, or Wakanda) and a period style London (A flash back almost definitely) but most intriguing is a funeral scene with many SHIELD agents and known people in attendance, including Captain America, Falcon and Agent 13. Could this be a death that kicks off the entire civil war? Could be.

Television

Here’s a poster and a load of cast images for Heroes Reborn, it turns out that there are a lot of characters involved that we’ve seen literally nothing of, also, another 2 images of Zachery Levi’s character holding a gun; he’s definitely evil.

The Simpsons was recently renewed for a 27th and 28th season, but they won’t be doing so with a full cast, as voice actor of over 37 characters, including Smithers, Mr Burns and Flanders (not to mention Skinner and Otto) Harry Shearer has left after not signing on to the new contract.

Legends of Tomorrow the Arrow/Flash spinoff starring heroes and not so heroes from the main shows as well as new characters including Rip Hunter and Hawkgirl, has its first synopsis and trailer, it looks fun; there’s time travel, humour, Randall Savage… It should be a good time, and will fill in the mid season break in early 2016.

Games

Let this be a lesson to you folks, if you leak footage and information from a game that you were given access to through testing, you will get banned for live. As some Gears of War players found out when they woke up to find their XBL accounts had been banned with regards to the upcoming Gears of War game for Xbox One.

Lego Jurassic World hits in less than a month (June 12th) and this new trailer confirms that you will be able to play as the dinosaurs. (Dibs on the anklyosaurus, that guy is dope.)

Hey, a AAA game is on its way from Ubisoft (Psst, it’s Assassins’ Creed Syndicate) and as such you can expect a plethora of collectors editions, and because the game is based in London, they have silly London names, like Big Ben edition or, and I kid you not; Charing Cross Edition.

Fantastic Four character bios show a change in Reed’s powers, Gears of War gets a remake and Silent Hills gets canned.

Film

A new bunch of information has come out about the Fantastic Four, more specifically the abilities and profiles of the Fantastic Four themselves. You can see a personal bio written by Dr. Franklin Storm (Sue and Johnny’s father) for each of the characters as well as a coy description of their powers. A team full of independent geniuses who prefer working alone.

Age of Ultron’s been out for a weekend now, so we should be seeing some figures about the international release, and we have! With a $201 million opening weekend, The Avengers Age of Ultron surpasses the original by a huge 44%. Baring in mind that it’s not even out in the states until the first of May, this film has potential.

A while back, Daniel Bruhl (Rush, Inglorious Bastards) was rumoured to be playing the role of Baron Zemo in Captain America: Civil War, an iconic Cap. villain who’s a weapons expert and worked beside the Red Skull in the comics, and this has all now been confirmed, though it looks like this could be his son, carrying on his father’s work.

Television

We’ve not featured any Gotham recently, but it’s coming to the end of the 1st season now and we’ve got some images of the season finale courtesy of Flickering Myth.

In the rumour-mill, an interesting one has popped up with regards to Iron Fist the Netflix series that will be the finale standalone before the team up Defenders; there are rumours that Doctor Strange (whether it be a body double of Cumberbatch or the man himself) will appear in the Iron Fist series. With the inclusion of magic and that sort of thing in both Iron Fist’s stories and Doctor Strange’s, it’s not too much of a leap to make sense. Also, it’s worth noting that in the comics Strange had a lot to do with the formation of the Defenders.

Games

The Rolling Stones, Robot Arms, Zombies. It’s time for the new Call of Duty Black Ops 3 trailer. There’s some talk of the moral quandary of when man becomes a weapon which could point towards a really intriguing single player campaign with similar philosophies to Deus Ex and Spec Ops. Or it will be more of the same… We’ll see.

Gears of War will be getting a next gen remastering on XBox One it’s been announced; it will be worked on by UK based developer Splash Damage and will most likely be aimed at a 2016 release, with that being the ten year anniversary of the original release of Gears of War.

Sad news for Silent Hill fans, the project titled Silent Hills (which was teased last year with P.T) is no longer in the making, says Guillermo Del Toro, who was to work on the project with Hideo Kojima. To that end, you have until Wednesday to download P.T if you haven’t already.
