Jurassic World continues destroying the Box Office, Snyder defends Man of Steel’s ending and could Agent Carter see the first Baron Zemo?

One day we’ll get bored of reporting just how good Jurassic World is, but that day is not today; after this weekend it’s now reached the fifth spot on the list of highest grossing films of all time, overtaking Frozen, The Deathly Hallows Part 2 and The Avengers: Age of Ultron.

Zach Snyder gets a lot of stick for the ending of the Man of Steel, there was a lot of crashing, lots of collateral damage and a few snapped necks. But Snyder has defended his decision, saying that in movies like this, you need tension and consequences, or else what’s the point?

We all gave a chuckle in the Ant-man trailer when Scott Lang suggested that they call the Avengers, but the latest TV spot reveals a superhero cameo that not many were expecting, only watch this if you’re not really fussed about a possible surprise appearance.

Another trio of motion posters have appeared for Heroes Reborn, you can check them out here, this show has a lot of movement behind it, here’s hoping it can live up to the original’s first season.

Agent Carter Season 2 will see the appearance of 2 new villains when it returns next year. Reportedly one of these will be another actual villain from the comics, and considering the appearance of Helmut Zemo in the upcoming Captain America Civil War, it could be the original Baron Zemo.

David Cros (Everyone’s favourite blue(th) painted Analrapist) said he and fellow funny man Brian Posehn were flown over to Bungie HQ back when Destiny was being made to write a bunch of jokes for Ghost, but it seems that they didn’t use a single one.

July 14th will see Batman Arkham Knight‘s first piece of story based DLC in the form of A matter of Family, and will star Batgirl.

A heap of new images from Dawn of Justice and more footage from Mission Impossible, as well as a full length trailer for the Wet Hot American Summer Netflix Series.

A new image has appeared from Deadpool, which recently wrapped principle photography, and it’s a pretty iconic one; presumably from the highway scene we saw in the test footage, this image shows Deadpool wielding 2 guns and looking pretty bad-ass. (afterall, why use one gun when you can use 2?)

A whole heap of images from Batman Vs Superman Dawn of Justice have appeared; we get a look at Gal Gadot’s Wonderwoman outside of her costume, a few more face offs with Bats and Supes, and Lex Luthor with hair.

Six new TV spots for Mission Impossible Rogue Nation have appeared, showing off some scenes we’ve seen, some scenes we’ve not seen and that plane scene over and over again (not that they’re proud that Tom Cruise does his own mental stunts or anything.)

Wet Hot American Summer, First Day of Camp, the Netflix revival/prequel to the cult comedy Wet Hot American Summer has a full length trailer, after a retro VHS style advertisement was released for the show last week.

A look at the first images of Season 6 of The Walking Dead shows off some fan favourite characters in Daryl, Glenn and Maggie.

One Wednesday we shared four motion posters for characters in Heroes Reborn, now we’ve got two more, Zackary Levi’s character (look he’s holding a gun again) as well as Kiki Sukezane (who’s holding a sword).

The free games for PS plus this month have been announced, though they won’t hit the store until the 7th of July, they include Rocket League, Entwined and Geometry Wars.

Two short clips from the Xmen Days of Future Past Rouge Cut have appeared. One shows Beast and Mystique getting hot and heavy, while the other shows Iceman taking some heat.

Heroes Reborn is really ramping up the marketing, and now has released motion posters for 4 characters including old face Noah Bennet.

The BBC trust has approved of the decision to make BBC3 an online only channel, due to its younger demographic and programming style it’s considered a prime candidate for the change.

Mojang, the guys behind Minecraft (that was recently bought by Microsoft) have announced that they will no longer be updating their only other released game, the trading card/turn based strategy game Scrolls, but insist that the servers will stay up until at least the 1st of July 2016.

Nolan, voice-of-everyone-who-isn’t-voiced-by-Troy-Baker, North has let the cat out of the bag and has outright said that he knows that Naughty Dog are doing a The Last of Us 2, though nothing’ been confirmed officially yet.

The IOS game Fallout Shelter, which is a free2play app to gear us all up for Fallout 4 (as if we needed it) has introduced its first character from the main game, Preston Garvey is obtainable through the game’s lunchboxes.

Ghostbusters Spinoff not currently on the cards, The Joker and Mr Freeze confirmed for Gotham season 2, and Games for Gold gets an upgrade.

With Ant-man so very close now, we’re getting more and more promotional material; today it’s an international trailer which focusses on the father/daughter relationship we’re likely to see as well as a commercial for Cross technologies, the antagonists of the film.

It looks like Disney is somewhat tired of superheroes and the retelling of fairy stories and instead is looking to base a film in Science. That is, an action movie based on the formative life of naturalist Charles Darwin.

Channing Tatum has out and said that currently, at this moment, at the time of writing, the Ghostbusters spin off starring himself (who is set to be in the female lead reboot) is not happening, as it’s too complicated.

Heroes Reborn finally has a full trailer with actual clips from the actual show with actual actors, as well as a synopsis which you can get your hands on here. Also, we called it, Levi is an antagonist.

The X-files reboot has its first few images of an aged and reunited Mulder and Scully, which you can check out over at Screenrant.

The synopsis for season 2 of Gotham moves the Joker and Mr Freeze rumours from the mill to the hard fact, as it confirms that season 2 will focus on them, as well as the mystery of Bruce Wayne’s father. It will return on September 21st.

Xbox’s Games for Gold is getting a little better, well actually, twice as good, as instead of the offering of one free game a month on Xbox One, starting July you’ll be privy to two free games a month.

In a positive move for the quality of gaming, EA have announced that if Star Wars Battlefront isn’t up to snuff by the time November roles around, they will delay the game to refrain from releasing an unfinished product.

Ah Bungie, they do try don’t they? Releasing a huge expansion later this year, they had the best intentions to bundle all the goodies into a package that would require you to buy all the stuff dedicated players already had to get it all, now they’ve been told (very loudly) that that’s not on, they’ve started making moves to make the ‘year one’ players feel more appreciated.

Spiderman gets actor and director, Hannibal gets cancelled and the PS4 gets a 1TB edition.

Independence Day 2 now has a full title; Independence Day Resurgence. The film will be set 20 years after the events of the first film and feature some returning characters as well as a few new faces; most of who are connected to the original cast in some way, check out some images here.

A new trailer for 7 Days in Hell the tennis mockumentary starring Kit Harington and Andy Samberg is out, it shows off a bit more of the characters as well as some more of the cameos and bit characters we’re likely to see. It looks silly and fun and I can’t wait.

Spiderman has finally been cast! Tom Holland, of Impossible and the upcoming In the Heart of the Sea, has been cast as the wall crawler, most likely to appear for the first time in some capacity in Captain America Civil War, and definitely due to appear in the 2017 Spiderman reboot that will be directed by Cop Car director Jon Watts.

Bad news for Hannibal fans, after 3 years the show is being cancelled by NBC. Despite being popular the show has suffered with low ratings, especially in the most recent season.

A new teaser for Heroes Reborn shows us very little of the expansive cast or effects we came to expect from the original, but it does a good job in portraying a world without saviours, a world, perhaps, in need of a new group of heroes.

Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp: the spin off series of the cult film that’s due to air on Netflix at the end of July, has a new, incredibly retro, trailer which confirms what we thought; this show will not take itself particularly seriously, which is great,

Those of you who were looking to get a PS4 but haven’t quite gotten around to it, may want to take a look at the new 1TB PS4. Offering twice the amount of storage as the vanilla console, this ‘Ultimate player edition’ will be available in select Europeanand PAL  territories come July 15th.

After a slew of delays, Project Cars was finally released in May. Well, good news: We won’t have to wait so long before the next one, as Project Cars 2 is already being crowd-funded. And people aren’t too thrilled about the time scale.

Graphic Novel Nimona to be made into a feature by Fox, Steam’s Summer Sale begins and Christopher Lee dies at 93.

A couple of weeks ago we reported that Fox had the rights to the comic series Lumberjanes and were making it into a live action series, well Fox continue their search for lesser known graphic novels as they’ve just attained the rights to Noelle Stevenson’s Nimona series. (Stevenson also worked on Lumberjanes) The series stars a strong willed shape shifter who teams up with a disgraced Knight to topple a corrupt regime. It’s great, you should read it.

Thor (Chris Hemsworth) will be joining Paul Feig’s Female Led Ghostbusters reboot as the team’s receptionist, the role was played by Annie Potts in the original, so here’s hoping that Hemsworth rises to the occasion and gives a solid comedy performance.

Sad news now, Actor, musician and all round epic inspiration, Christopher Lee has died at the age of 93 after being admitted to Hospital with respiratory problems. Lee was an iconic actor who is famed for his roles in the Star Wars, Lord of the Rings and James Bond franchises.

Following the announcement that Supergirl will be airing on Monday October 26th, there’s been a new poster released which shows her… Flying in the sun. Neat.

Yet another Heroes Alumni has joined Heroes Reborn, this time it’s Christine Rose who played Angela Petrelli. At this rate it really should be called Heroes revisited.

The Muppets Tv Show has an air date and time, and it’s Tuesday the 22nd of September, 8PM, ABC.

Well it’s that time of year; money flies from wallets, games fill libraries never to be played. Yup. It’s time for the Steam Summer Sale.

A few big name games won’t be appearing at E3, according to Microsoft. Time bending action game Quantum Break won’t be at the Expo, and neither will the new Crackdown or Scalebound. Instead these games will be saved for gamescon later in the year.

Brothers; A tale of two sons is an emotional, clever and incredible journey of a game. And this summer it’ll be coming to current gen consoles and the iOS.

Guardians 2 to feature less characters, Star Trek 3 to feature more species and Andy Samberg and Kit Harrington star as two tennis players in the world’s longest game.

Another new TV spot for Terminator Genisys and Jurassic World have surfaced ahead of the films’ releases on the 1st of July and the 11th of June respectively.

For a series famed for its multitude of alien species and what no, the Star Trek film series really hasn’t explored the galaxy’s inhabitants all that much; sure there was that cult from the second film, and the romulans and vulcans make their appearances, but so far it’s been a very human lead story. Well, not anymore, as Star Trek 3 will include more new worlds and species.

Those fearing, that James Gunn’s Guardians of the Galaxy 2 will be similar to Age of Ultron in scope and character inclusion can breath a sigh of relief, as Gunn has come out to say that the sequel will actually include less characters, with more focus aimed at existing ones, with only one or two new faces being introduced.

Another day, another Heroes cast member returns to Heroes reborn. This time it’s Noah Gray-Cabey who will be turning back up onto set, he played the young character Micah who, if you can remember, could talk to machines.

Agents of SHIELD season 3 sure is racking up the regulars; Mack, played by Henry Simmons will be returning, but this time as a series regular (though I’m pretty sure he was in every episode of season 2…)

7 Days in Hell is the name of the mockumentary starring Andy Samberg (Brooklyn 99) and Kit Harrington (Game of Thrones), it tells the ‘story’ of the world’s longest tennis game, a 7 day, 5 set match. Check out the trailer here, it looks pretty great.

For those of you who missed it on Wednesday afternoon, Fallout 4 has been confirmed and there’s a trailer waiting right here for you. The sequel looks to be set in Boston, it looks colourful, and it looks like the protagonist is going to talk.

After a leak of Playstation Store details, Sony have confirmed that the Uncharted Collection, which will include all 3 Uncharted games optimised for the current generation, will be coming in October. Those who buy this will also get access to the Uncharted 4 Online Beta.
