Ready Player One’s release date, Fallout 4’s lack of level cap and the Flash casts Wally West.

Steven Spielberg’s adaptation of Ernest Cline novel Ready Player One has now got a release date; December 15th 2017. For those unfamiliar, Ready Player One’s synopsis can be found here.

Vin Diesel is the Last Witch Hunter, and he’s not afraid of anything in this second trailer which sets up the world, mythology and characters a little bit more. Also, we get Michael Caine telling us that Vin can’t die, so there’s that.

After scheduling conflicts lead to the departure of J.K Simmons and Michael Keaton, Skull Island was down two men, well now it looks like they’ve found replacements, in the form of Samuel L Jackson and John C. Reilly.

The Flash is getting yet another incarnation of the Scarlet Speedster, along with the golden age Flash Jay Garrick, who will be played by Teddy Sears, Wally West, a character whose name has been thrown about a lot recently, will be a season regular in season two and will be played by Insurgent actor Keiynan Lonsdale.

October 29th will see a TV crossover between Bones and Sleepy Hollow, but what the hell will be happening? Good thing you asked, since a synopsis has just been released for both shows’ episodes.

Fox is up to their old tricks again. Literally, they’re continuing their slew of revivals with Prison Break, which will see the return of Wentworth Miller and Dominic Purcell.

Cities: Skylines has its first expansion on the horizon, and it’s bringing in a day/night cycle, which isn’t just for aesthetics sake, and will effect the simulation, because we all know things are a little different at night.

Unravel is looking to be one of those adorable little brain benders with an amazing soundtrack, beautiful visuals and a lovely message, you should really check out this three minute video showcasing the gameplay.

Fallout 4 will have no level cap and, in a departure from the series (pre DLC) the game won’t finish once the main story is done with, says Bethesda. Along with changing how the enemies level with you, this could be a great addition to the series, since many players just long to spend as much time as possible in the Fallout world.

There’s a new trailer for Kingsman Secret Service, and it showcases a lot more unseen footage, as well as Colin Firth kicking some ass, so you should watch it just for that.

Days of Future Past Director Bryan Singer will be directing the next Xmen film. Hardly surprising after the feedback from the latest Mutant excursion.

The Last Witch Hunter will see Vin Diesel hunting witches, it will also see him showcasing a fantastic beard. Click here for some images.

Here’s a couple more trailers for the upcoming Star Wars Rebels animation, I have to admit, I’m excited for this. Animated series often show a lot more potential for sci-fi fun than their live action counterparts.

Part of the Assassins Creed Unity season pass is a new adventure based in China. It’s a 2.5D side scrolling affair and I’m incredibly tempted.

Take a first look at Vin Diesel in the Last Witch Hunter, which could be released next fall, since summer is a little overcrowded.

Speaking of images, here’s one of Jennifer Lawrence (at least, her back) in this promotional shot for Mockingjay part 1, and she looks kitted up for kicking ass.

Shadow of the Colossus is an incredible, emotional and poignant video game and with the right director the film adaptation could bring video game movies out of the drain, and is ‘Mama’s  director Andres Muschietti the right guy?

Arrow has cast the demon, Ra’s Al Ghul. Unfortunately it’s not Liam Neeson, it’s Matt Nable from the recent Vin Diesel sequel Riddick.

The Flash is shaping up to be a bit of a lighter fair than its sister Arrow, or at least it was until this new ‘guardian angel’ trailer.

The Supergirl show, which is a terrible title, so thankfully it’s not the official name, won’t be airing on the CW (the home of Arrow and The Flash).

Run Sackboy! Run! is a new app/game from the creators of little big planet that will feature unlockables in a style, presumably, similar to temple run and that sort of ilk. It’ll be out in October.

A new Alpha Sapphire and Omega Ruby trailer is out. Sure it’s in Japanese, but you’re really only looking at it for the pretties right? It showcases a lot of the returning and new features of the 3DS remake.

Remember after Robin Williams’ death we reported that a Genie inspired character had been found in the code of WoW? Well it’s been found in game, with quotes from Robin’s more well known films. Whether it will yell ‘Oh Captain my Captain’ is still unknown.

So, first up, some new TV spots for Guardians of the Galaxy, which is getting too close for comfort right now and I’m far too excited.

Disney’s Superhero animation Big Hero 6 has some new character images plus some casting information right over here.

Rose Leslie (Game of Thrones’ Ygritte) is apparently on board for the long dormant Vin Diesel Witch Hunting film, the Last Witch Hunter. She’ll be a witch, apparently.

Despite earlier in the month I reported that True Detective Season 2 will follow only one character, they’ve announced that there are four main roles to be filled, and more news will be coming soon.

Christopher Walken will be Hook in NBC’s Peter Pan Live, also apparently there will be tap dancing. TAP DANCING WALKEN.

Neversoft, the guys behind the Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater games officially exists no more, which is a shame. Those games were a huge part of my childhood.

Ubisoft will premier an Assassin’s Creed animated short at Comic Con, which should be pleasant to watch. Especially if there are little animated hoods and knives. Which I imagine there will be.
